Throughout his life, Christopher saw the changing face of English towns and the communities of people in them. As a councillor he tried to preserve historic buildings in his home town. In his paintings he recorded town centres before they were demolished for redevelopment. He even did an exhibition sponsored by the Reading Museum called “Disappearing Reading.” Below you will see a selection of works of urban landscapes.
